2. Website access and server data
When this website is accessed, technically necessary connection data is processed to deliver the requested pages and files to your device. This may include the IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, status code, referring page and information about the browser and operating system.
Processing is necessary to provide the website securely, reliably and without errors. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are technical delivery, IT security and the prevention of misuse. This website’s web server does not keep regular visitor or analytics logs. Upstream hosting and security systems may retain technically necessary logs. These are deleted once no longer required for those purposes, normally within 14 days; data relating to a specific security incident may be retained until the incident has been resolved.
Recipients may include hosting and IT providers acting on our instructions.
3. Contacting us
When you submit the contact form, the website transmits your name, company if supplied, email address, product reference if supplied and message to our web server over an encrypted connection. The server sends this information through our email provider to info@center4.eu. It is not used for newsletters.
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the data you provide to respond to your enquiry. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to quotations, contracts and pre-contractual steps. Other business enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is effective communication with prospective customers, customers and business partners.
Enquiries are deleted after completion unless statutory retention duties or other legitimate grounds require continued storage. Business or tax-relevant correspondence is kept for the period required by law. Recipients may include our email and IT providers and the personnel handling your enquiry.
4. Cookies, local storage and audience measurement
This website does not set analytics, tracking or marketing cookies and does not use audience measurement, advertising or profiling services. No automated decision-making takes place.
Local Storage in your browser is used only to remember acknowledgement of the privacy notice, voluntarily selected display and accessibility preferences, and the identifiers of catalogs already unlocked. The email address you enter is not stored in your browser. These settings remain until you reset the accessibility preferences or clear the website data in your browser. Storage is used only for the display and catalog functions you request and is technically necessary for those functions (Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG).
5. Fonts, catalogs and external content
Fonts, product images, logos, scripts and catalog files are served locally by this website. Loading a page therefore does not connect to Google Fonts or another external content network. Catalogs are processed in the browser and are not sent to an external PDF service.
After previewing a catalog, you can unlock the complete browser viewer by entering your business email address. Your email address, the selected catalog and the time are then transmitted to Center4 and stored as a notification in our email inbox. The purpose is to unlock the catalog and associate concrete product interest in a business context. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interests are providing in-depth manufacturer information and identifying concrete B2B product interest. This is not a newsletter subscription. The notification is generally deleted within twelve months unless a subsequent enquiry, business relationship, statutory retention duty or an earlier objection requires different handling.
Links to manufacturers and other external websites connect to the relevant provider only after you open the link. From that point, the external provider’s privacy terms apply.
6. Recipients and transfers
We disclose personal data only when necessary for the purposes stated above, required by law or covered by your consent. Recipients may include hosting, email and IT providers and public authorities acting under legal powers. This website does not initiate transfers to a third country. If you open an external link, that provider may process data under its own terms.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. To exercise your rights, contact info@center4.eu.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for Center4 is in particular:
